Terms of Service — Jarel

These Terms of Service govern your use of Jarel's source-linked AI workspace for legal professionals. Please read them carefully before using the Service. By using Jarel, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Jarel platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including administrators, attorneys, and other professionals accessing Jarel on behalf of an organization.

2. Description of Service

Jarel provides an AI-powered document analysis, review, and drafting platform designed for legal professionals. The Service includes tabular document review, an AI assistant with source references, workflow support tools, and a secure document vault. Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time.

3. Eligibility and Account Access

Jarel is an invite-only platform. Access is provisioned by your organization's administrator. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify Jarel immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) infringe any intellectual property rights; (c) transmit malicious code or interfere with the Service's operation; (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks; (e) use the Service to train competing AI models or systems. Jarel reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of this policy.

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Jarel will process your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and any applicable Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Customer documents and prompts are not used to train Jarel models, and provider processing follows configured no-training terms where available.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to content you upload to the Service ("Your Content"). By uploading content, you grant Jarel a limited licence to process, store, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. Jarel retains all rights to the Service, including its AI models, user interface, and underlying technology.

7. AI-Generated Output

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate analysis, summaries, and document drafts ("AI Output"). AI Output is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and acting on AI Output. Jarel does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of AI Output.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jarel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, arising out of or in connection with the Service. Jarel's total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Jarel does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. We do warrant that we will process your data in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. Upon termination, your access to the Service will be revoked. You may request export of Your Content for thirty (30) days following termination. After this period, Jarel may delete Your Content in accordance with its data retention policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gothenburg, Sweden.

12. Changes to Terms

Jarel reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes via email or in-product notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
