Jarel
Product
Jarel inside Microsoft Word.
Document review and redlines as tracked changes, inside the Word interface legal teams already use. In preview: install it manually, not yet from Microsoft AppSource.
Ask for early access and we’ll help you install the preview in Word.
AI where the work already happens.
Most legal drafting and review happens in Microsoft Word. The Word Add-In brings playbook checks, redlines and cited Q&A into the document itself, and keeps the reviewer in control.
How it works.
- 01
Open your document in Word
The add-in sits in the Word ribbon, so review and drafting happen in the working draft. - 02
Run AI analysis
Run a playbook, check defined terms, compare with your own version or ask the document a question. You decide what to keep. - 03
Apply tracked changes
Suggested edits arrive as Word tracked changes with a comment saying why, so reviewers accept or reject them in the normal review flow.
Capabilities in preview.
- 01
Guideline review in-document
Runs your playbook against the open contract and flags deviations, each linked to its place in the document. - 02
AI-generated redlines
Suggested edits go in as tracked changes, so you control what is accepted before anything is shared. - 03
AI drafting assistance
Draft or rewrite a passage, translate a selection, or insert approved clauses from your own documents, all as tracked changes. - 04
Source-linked answers from the document
Answers questions about the open contract with numbered links to the passages they rest on. - 05
Knowledge integration
Ask across all the documents of a matter in Knowledge, not just the open file. - 06
Enterprise security
The add-in signs in to your Jarel workspace, so the same access controls apply. Customer content is not used to train Jarel models.
Preview
Review and redline, right in the document.
The Word Add-In brings playbook checks, cited Q&A and review-first redlines into the Word ribbon, keeping the reviewer in control. It is in preview, so you install it manually from Jarel.
FAQ
Frequently asked.
- 01
Is the Word Add-In available yet?
It’s in preview. Signed-in users can install it manually in Word by uploading its manifest from the Word page under Integrations in Jarel. It isn’t in Microsoft AppSource yet and may change before general availability. - 02
Does it use tracked changes?
Yes. Suggested edits are written into the document as Word tracked changes, each with a comment explaining why, so reviewers accept or reject them in the normal Word review flow. - 03
Can I get playbook review today?
Yes. Playbooks run inside Jarel, and the Word Add-In runs them on the open document.
